Winter · November to February
Clear skies and the best time to visit
Dry, sunny days and cool evenings. This is the main tourist season on the Malvan and Vengurla coast, and the easiest time to fly in, walk a plot and see the area at its busiest.
For buyers: Plan site visits now: roads are dry and developers’ teams are on site.
Summer · March to May
Mango and cashew season
Hot and humid on the coast, milder inland. Orchards across the district are in harvest, with Devgad, in Sindhudurg, known for its Alphonso mangoes. Holiday traffic continues through the school break.
For buyers: Check shade, water supply and orientation of the plot in the heat.
Monsoon · June to September
Heavy rain and the greenest landscape
The Konkan receives some of the heaviest rainfall on India’s west coast. The hills turn green, the sea is rough, and boat trips to the forts stop for the season.
For buyers: The best season to judge a plot: see how it drains, and whether the approach road stays usable.
Post-monsoon · October
Everything at its best
The rain eases, rivers and paddy fields are full, and the coast reopens for visitors. Festival season brings families back to their villages.
For buyers: A good month to photograph and compare projects before winter demand picks up.
