What happened

Dubai recorded 86 home sales above $10 million between July and September 2026, 17% fewer than a year earlier, according to a Knight Frank report covered by The National on 21 October 2026. Prime home prices fell 5% between the second and third quarters, the first fall since 2020.

Across the first nine months of the year there were 412 sales above $10 million, worth about $6.67 billion, up 15% on the same period last year. Palm Jumeirah accounted for 27 of the third-quarter deals, and prices there have eased 9.1% over the past 12 months to AED 4,083 per sq ft.

Faisal Durrani, head of research for the Middle East and North Africa at Knight Frank, said the regional conflict was “the biggest drag at the moment on overall market activity”.
